COMMON QUESTIONS
What is the minimum payload mass for the Scout rideshare?
There is no minimum. We accommodate payloads from 1U CubeSats (< 2 kg) up to the full Scout manifest capacity of 1,200 kg to SSO. Pricing scales from $6,200/kg for > 50 kg down to fixed rates for smaller dispensers.
How long does it take from contract signing to launch?
For Titan and Nova dedicated launches, the typical programme schedule is 18–24 months. Scout rideshare slots are available on a rolling 3–6 month manifest. Expedited schedules are possible for government missions.
Does Apex Orbital handle ITAR licensing?
Yes. Our export compliance team handles all ITAR licensing, TAA negotiations, and DSP-5 filings. We are experienced in both US Government and allied-nation payloads and can navigate the full regulatory workflow.
What insurance does Apex provide for payloads?
Apex provides standard pre-launch and launch vehicle liability insurance. We recommend payload operators carry third-party satellite insurance. We can refer you to our network of space insurance brokers.
Is the Apex Titan fairing reusable?
The standard Titan composite fairing uses a guided parafoil system for ocean recovery. Recovered fairings are inspected and refurbished for re-flight. Fairing recovery is standard on all Titan missions at no additional cost.
